When a team travels, does everybody fly together on the same plane?

Stay at the same Hotel?

Does the team pay for "everyting?

Meals, room etc?

Who makes sure all the uniforms are clean and ready?

Cleans up the pig pen of a club house?

Who loads all the stuff into the airplane to take to the next town?

Or do they get a per deim?

Just how does it all work?

Just lots of logistical questions.

What happens when they are "home", but a player's home is in another city?

Who pays for his accomdations and food?

Remember, forgivness is easier to get than permission.

MLB teams travel together, usually on chartered jets. Most teams have one or two trips per year that are 'family' trips where the wives get to go along, but most road trips are just the players, coaches, broadcasters, and support staff.

They all stay together at the same hotel, and it's always a nice one. Of course, the club is responsible for all of these costs.

For meals, the players get a per diem, but custom is that they have to pay to the hosting clubhouse manager "clubhouse dues" that cover the expense of catering a large spread before games and also after. They eat quite well, as these clubhouse meals are usually quite varied and anyone can find what they want.

As for uniforms and equipment, each team has an equipment manager, and it is his job to provide clean uniforms of the day, make sure that each players gear is ready to go, and take care of all travel logistics for the players.

The players do get a per diem, and often eat out after games, despite the clubhouse offerings.

What else are you curious about?
