Sung to the tune "Go Cubs Go"

The playoffs are underway
Better get ready for a real short stay
Hey Chicago your team is gay
The Cubs are going to loose today

We're Singing Choke Cubs Choke
What a Joke
Hey Chicago shed your tears
Same results in a different year

It's not bad luck
The Cubs just suck
Hey Chicago what do you say
Blowin' game since 1908

They blame the goat that came to Wrigley
They got the worst fans in the National League
The stadiums old and it smells like pee
Just come on down and you will see.

We're Singing Choke Cubs Choke
What a Joke
Hey Chicago you dropped the ball
I know who's going home this fall
It's not bad luck
The Cubs just suck
Hey Chicago it's just the norm
and what is with those uniforms?

World Series time is hear again
Unless you are a Cubbies fan
So clap your hands and stamp your feet
If you love to see the Cubs get beat

We're Singing Choke Cubs Choke
What a Joke
Hey Chicago you've been cursed
You'll always leave the playoffs first

It's not bad luck
The Cubs just suck
Hey Chicago final out
Go stuff your face with Brats and Kraut

I guess we will just have to wait two weeks and see, won't we?

Saw some great cubs T-shirts at Busch Stadium over the weekend. My favorite said "800 Years, at your current rate that's how long it will take you to match our present total of World Series Appearances".

FYI, the Yankees lead with 26 world series championships. Care to hazard a guess who is second? Right you are, the Cardinals with Ten.

First to clinch their division and probably the best 1-2 pitching rotation in the MLB. This team is scary!

Great sport, isn't it?

Adam grew up just down the street from my house. He's a great young man... Wanted to play with the Braves, but has found a home that he loves in St. Louis. The city is lucky to have such a fine fellow and a great pitcher.

JMHO.

The last day has come and gone and even though the birds are in I can't think of a worse way to go into the playoffs. A horrible week for sure.

I don't like the Dodgers, but right now I wouldn't want to be the Cardinals and facing them. LA had to battle to the end to win the west, and the Cards are definitely in a lull. Gonna be an interesting series.

Well, Puhols has gone quite a stretch without a homer.
I suspect when he breaks out of it; those pitching against him aren't going to be happy.

Hey: the cubbies are just lulling the rest of baseball into a false sense of security. A few more decades and then they'll really rule hte roost.

We prefer the phrase "cruised into the playoffs...".

I'll take Albert over Manny any day of the week, and our staff over the Dodgers' as well.

The Dodgers have no players VS the Cards position by position to give them any hope. I am predicting sweep!

There's no joy in Muddville, mighty Matt has dropped the ball! CRYBABY

I guess if the Cards don't make it, it would be nice to see Joe Torre beat another of his former employers in the World Series.

That ball has to be caught. But, the Cards have played like crap for the last month. Can't seem to score runs. You are not going to win many games with only 2 runs scored. Ankiel, has to go unless he starts hitting the ball. Gloss, Colio Green, Thurston, Wellenmeyer all need to go. Sign Holliday, Derosa, and Puggels to an extions. Srart with that and pick up one more good hitting outfielder to back up Rastmus and Ludwig.

The National League Central will all be playing golf tommorow. Sad days for us Cards fans....I can keep my chin up though, I'm still not a Cubs fan.

The off-season will be tough, we will see this team shed quite a fiew players to make $$$$/room for Larusa/Pujols big $$$$ deal.

Someone did explain to these guys the season was still going, right?

Puhols didn't homer for a month. Ouch.

If they did not win, then clearly they're not the best team. Reality can bite that way.

Actually, George is right. I've been a baseball coach for years, and learned long ago that the better team doesn't always win. That's why they play the game.

It's a matter of definitions, I guess.
If you play 162 games to find you can't win the next three; you're not the better team. But that's my view...

To be truthful, I much perferred the River Bandits, rather then what we have now. Hard to beat small-city pro baseball for fun, in any case.

Whadda they call the top Idaho team? The Boise Tatter-tots? Wink
