Anyone handled one of these? They are manufactured on M98 military actions. Look rather nice and price seems right if they are high quality. Come in wood and synthetic stocks and different length barrels and calibers up to 458 WM.

The Safari Luxus looks to be the nicest and is available in 9.3x64, 8x68, 375 H&H, and 458 WM.

You might ask Steve Bertram.

Heed the words of Winston Smith in Orwell's 1984:

"Every record has been destroyed or falsified, every book rewritten, every picture has been repainted, every statue and street building has been renamed, every date has been altered. And the process is continuing day by day and minute by minute. History has stopped. Nothing exists except an endless present in which the Party is always right."

I have one of these Frankonia guns in 30-06 coming from the 1980's. Strong K98 action. German made. Very good quality and give me good accuracy.

All K98s were small ring. I know, I am being picky. But accurate.

No rifle marked or designated as, K98 is a large ring. The K98 is a Polish small ring. The Kar98 is a small ring, German.
The Kar98K is a large ring and all marked Mod 98, or not marked at all late war.
It is common on AR to call virtually every Mauser a K98; they aren't, and it's not right. It is my job to educate everyone on the correct nomenclature. I was pre-destined to do that.

DCPD..Of course you're right..I was pointing out that all the rifles on the web site are large ring...

Frankonia MAY have used a K98 if requested to do so.

Realistically, I suspect it was "descriptive error"

I know that you know but that was for those who call every Mauser they see a "K98". Actually, the K98 is a fairly uncommon rifle.
