Does anybody have ideas or pictures of an adapted slide modification to add a button or assist device to the rear of a Buckmark slide. I can hardly grab the slide and the sights always threaten to cut my fingers. Plenty of meat back there to screw something on.

No mod I am aware of. You must have the version without the rear slide lugs. For these I use the cross hand cocking method pushing the slide open rather than trying to pull it.

I am looking for a pull knob that I can screw to the rear of the slide. All I have found from the usual sources seem to start @ .75 diameter. No lathe so looking for something ~.5 threaded or not. The 'fixes' advertised on the net I wouldn't put on my worst enemies pistol. I'll keep looking, may have to resort to the poor boy lathe, drill press and file.
