one off break action

I designed this rifle as an inline striker system break action. All design work is compromise, but it still worked out. There is a straight line from the firing pin tip to the south end of the stock thru bolt, hence the somewhat strange looking grip area. Oh well.

It is chambered for 30-30 and pretty much does what it is supposed to!

Very nice. Did you mono block the barrel in, or braze on a lug.
Now all it needs is a side lock and a big hammer to look right.

I like the maple stock.

Is the striker cocked on open or close and released by the trigger or does the trigger movement set and release it like on a Glock?

Nice work. Gives one ideas.

That's a nice effort. You could possibly derive inspiration if you follow the link below you will find some unque, one-off break open guns by Phillip Ollendorf - Austrian Gunmaker. I meet him some years ago and was awestruck by his work.

I have several break open single shots in H&R. Love' em! I have configured a 30-30 for my grandson.
The CEB 100 gr Raptor bullet is cool and really kills deer size game. ( He killed a blu wildebeest with it.) Seat it shallow and load it up. Also, I ordered some CEB 130gr. Raptors. for him.
The overall length of a break open single shot is nice and short.

Nice! And 30-30 is perfect chambering. I like the stock config. I don't think it looks awkward.

Anxious to learn how the striker is cocked and how the locking/unlocking system is set up (that underlever?).

The striker is cocked by the movement of the lever as it unlocks the system. Sear and trigger system.

I wanted to mention; the trigger/sear/cocking piece arrangement is the same as a Winchester 70. The parts are very different, of course!
