Nice one what state? I took a 11' in SC Public land last year and am looking for a 12' + for my 13 year old.

florida my biggest two were 13'6" and 12' 10" i like the big ones i use a crossbow then hand ti line fight them

Can you pm me a guide in FLA? I was looking there but the well respected guide told me anything over 8-9 feet was considered a trophy and the other guys guaranteeing 12 footers are selling farmed gators for 8-9k. I have a lead in SC for a 12 footer that should work out but would like a back up. In SC we used a harpoon or two and then pulled it's head into the boat and knifed it at about 2am won't ever forget that hunt. Just want to get my boy on a big one before there aren't anymore. If we don't find a good gator hunt this year we will put in for the SC draw and head to TX for Nilgai. Trying to slowly whittle of the bucket list but got hit by a car 3 mos ago so Nilgai in placed of Auodad for now.

Also want to get an Armadillo to mount after seeing a few scurry across the road I told the guide and he gave me a hand gun but they never reappeared.

i hunt on public waters i have 3 in the top ten of sci for the crossbow and another two eligible but to many guys are now cheating to get in the book dont see the point in entering anymore in the record book. i have a great guide who can hunt private land he can do 10 or better

Emailed a few days ago but no response. Trying to book one for this season if possible for my 13 year old. Maybe the twelve foot range is a bit much but want to go in with realistic expectations and don't want a farmed hunt. I would be very happy with an 11+ but would be thrilled to go over twelve. I will try them again in a few days. My other gator just got done being mounted and can't wait to see it.
