I am afraid not, but full VGA resolution.

I am in the process of uploading several more videos tonight, and I will link them up here in the morning.

After these I will add different animals as well.

Are those the "walterhog" bullets I've been hearing about, and are they only full bore diameter in the middle third?

Yes, all these animals were shot with our Walterhog bullets.

We are off on our next safari in about 100 days, and I am loading new brass for this year, as our old brass, which has been used for many years, is beginning to show its age.

In the photo above you see a 404 case which hs been formed to our 375/404, next to it is a formed round. A new bullet, and some that we have recovered from buffalo.

I don't fireform my case, I normally get them fireformed on their first hunt.

Enjoying these very much, especially the double and the one where you lads were crawling in the thick brush. Thanks, Saeed. Good stuff!

BTW, vids # 11 and 13 did not work for me (all others did)

In a few of the videos you show the recovered bullet in the field it appears. How are you able to recover those so fast, or are you editing-in the fired rounds after the bulls are back in camp?

One of the thrills of hunting for me is recovering the rounds that did the job.
21 June 2009, 13:06
Saeed
We are able to recover some of the bullets in the field as we gut and cut up the animals.

In your experience Saeed, is their a "trick" to recovering rounds? I have to admit I've not spent a lot of time trying to recover spent bullets, but I find it uncanny how the crew in the field in Africa are able to come up with it, without fail, and quickly.

Hunting the african buff must be great fun but that 150 yards sprint in the sand while reloading and shooting all at the same time.... Eeker

I got tired just watching the video..

Better I will take a siesta and rest a little bit of all that running.. Big Grin

Saeed,

I enjoyed every minute of these hunts...as one who has not had the opportunity to yet hunt Cape Buff, this was truly a wonderful introduction!

Thank you and look forward to viewing more! BOOM

It is generally not difficult to find a bullet if youkeep an eye on what the skinners are doing.

Just follow the path and you will find it.

More fantastic footage!

I especially liked the video shot of you folks walking back to the vehicle...That had alot of impact as well to the feeling of that croc hunt!

That was one hell of a shot on the croc. How far was that? It looks like 150-175 yards?

23 June 2009, 20:27

That was about the right distance for that croc.

The furthest I have shot one was over 200 yards away.

I am converting a few more clips right now, and I hope to put them up tomorrow.

Saeed,

After watching all of the buffalo videos, unequivocally the 375 cal. is an extremely lethal on dangerous game. The buffalo suffered equally or more in some cases as my .416 and .458 win mag did on my buffalo hunts.

Questions:

Would you say that it is fair and accurate that one does not require a caliber greater than .375 to hunt dangerous game? And any caliber greater than .375 is really unnecessary? Specifically on buffalo.

Do you believe a 375 H & H would yield the same results as your 375/404 in the same hunting situations as the videos?

Which hunt was your personal favorite? Which was your best shot?
