I have one more lot to post in this series.

Yes, the water is absolutely fantastic!

The water is always clear in the Maldives, regardless of where you are.

This particular island is very small - no more than 200 meters long!!

It has only six guest villas.

The island is situated at one end of a semi-round reef, that extends several kilometers around a large lagoon.

They cut a channel into the reef at one end, so boats can get into the lagoon.

The sand from this channel was used to form a small sand island about 40 meters long.

In the photo of the sunset, you can sea a large sail boat, and closer and to the right of it is the sea plane docking island. To the left of that you can see this small island.

We were there with a friend and his family.

One day at lunch, the ladies said they had booked massage at the saloon.

Jonathan and me decided to go snorkeling.

We normally snorkel with the current.

Anyway, we went on our snorkeling trip, then looked back and saw that we were getting rather far from our island - and the current is taking us away from it!!

We could not swim across the coral reef, as it was too shallow, and would cut us very badly.

And there was no hope of anyone coming to rescue us - as they came for us a day or two earlier when they saw we were getting quite far.

But, we told them to leave us alone, we can take care of ourselves, thanks you!

Jonathan was not very impressed.

He said "serves me bloody right listening to you again!"

We had a really hard time getting back - we swam to the channel and went into the lagoon, where the current wasn't as bad!
