My son has spent several hours on his new Christmas present toy properly aligning the Leopold scope (variable up to 24 power) and rings and fired it for the first time today. At the Frisco, TX indoor 100 yard range he had to fire only 5 rounds to be ready for a 200 yard range:
Shot 1 at 25 yards - bullseye.
Shot 2 and 3 at 50 yards - an inch high and 2 to the left
Shot 4 & 5 at 100 yards after sight adjustment - 5/8 inch group at 12 oclock !
He loves the rifle.

Time to move to a longer distance at another range. I see another trip to the Whittington Center coming up! That white buffalo better learn to duck.
