I new 99.

I now have 2 savage 99s.
One is a mid 50s 99f in .308. Great shooter.
My new one is from the late 50s or maybe 1960.
I Thinks its pretty rare. a 99 EG in .308.
The EG has a 24 inch barrel and the schnauble for arm.
Its in decent shape has no recoil pad , the rear sight is still there and the screws pluging the scope holes are still there.
Its just rough enough that i think puting a scope on it will be ok.
Might try her out tomorrow...tj3006

A 99EG in a .308 is rare indeed, they only made a few. I had one some years back..Wish Id kept it.

If you ever decide to peddle it off, give me first shot at it.

This thing really shoots, i tried it out with some loads i had for a rifle long sold off. I got well under an inch fir three shots at 80 yards off my truck hood...tj3006
