I will be in Anchorage overnite the evening of May 1st and am needing a recommendation for a convienent motel to the airport.

I get in early evening and I will be leaving out to Valdez on ERA early the next morning.

It would be good if they had a shuttle service to and from the airport. I don't need anything fancy - just a good bed and fairly close to the airport.

Any suggestions will be appreciated.

What are those blue remembered hills,
What spires, what farms are those?
That is the land of lost content,
I see it shining plain,
The happy highways where I went
And cannot come again.

Allen, my regulars are the Millenium (they do have shuttles) and the Courtyard by Marriot. Both are on Spenard and are very close to ANC. The Millenium has a decent resturaunt and lots of nice taxidermy.

+1 on the Millenium and their taxidery.

Whatever you do, don't stay at the Coast International. It's close to the Millenium and Courtyard and might be cheaper, but it's a DIVE.

Thanks, I had stayed at the Millenium in the past but forgot the name of it. I remember being awestruck at the brownie so look forward to seeing it again.

Close to the airport:

Millenium
Coast International
Barrett Inn
Holiday Inn Express
Marriott Courtyard

I'd just pick whichever is cheapest since you're only there for one night.
