I am another right handed but left eye dominate person. I have only one left handed gun a Browning A-bolt mediallion in 300wm. All my other guns are right handed. My biggest problem is when shooting my left handed rifle I tend to want to pull it away afetr the first shot as if it were a right hand bolt. I guess that comes from all the years shooting the right handed rifles.

I am as left handed as any man who ever was, yet I own no left handed guns. Tikka make left handed rifles?? Their website doesnt say this! It`d have to be a special order though for me in my backwater country. I really need to try a left handed rifle, I wonder about it, as Norman Conquest posted elsewhere and others have told me, after a life time of r/h guns, some lefties find it difficult to adapt to a l/h gun..

Frank,

WOW! This is getting scary - you & I really do think alot alike when it comes to rifles.

I also forgot to put MY L/H .54 cal. T/C Renagade on my list!

Ya don't want that cap to ignite directly in front of your left eye, at least not without some serious shooting glasses on!

Cheers,

I thought i'd post some "left handers" that i'm pretty sure you've never seen before.. Like this left hand Rem. 5mm mag. rimfire.

or a left hand Rem. 541-S 22lr in a standard walnut stock,

Or this "one of a kind" copy of a Browning T-bolt that's been "centerfired" and chambered in 25/20 WCF..

with a companion "custom made" 25/20 S&W "K" frame revolver,

or my most used firearm that i own... A "custom" Krieghoff drilling,

I have others too, but i thought you'd like to see these...

I also consider my Ruger #1 a lefty in 6ppc.

DM! Have you been able to find ammo for your 5mm? I had one (not a lefty) but got rid of it because i could not shoot it. (NO AMMO)

Do any of you know of any smithys that can convert a mauser to lefty?

I have the following lefty weapons:

Heym SR20 Etosha in 375 H & H

Heym SR20 in 7mm Mauser (7 x 57)

True left-handed Lang sidelever 12-bore.

All a bit of a waste of time really, as I've joined the British Army and you can't operate the SA80A2 left-handed while still retaining your teeth! Learning to shoot right-handed after 20 years is proving, err, challenging.....

George,
Word is our Ministry Of Defence may be getting the FN F2000 in about 2012, this ejects spent cases forward so is ambidextrous in use, a much better option in my opinion! In the meantime I hope to get assigned the old but effective GPMG which is lefty-friendly!
