Our south Florida outfitter is offering the following special on a two day gator / hog combo hunt.

Gator - Night time hunt on an airboat. Can harvest one gator - no size restrictions or trophy fee. Gators typically run 7-10'. Night hunting methods include: harpoon, crossbow, bow and bang stick.

Hogs - Daytime hunt from a blind.

Dates: October, 2009

Five openings available.

Price: $1,200 per hunter

Deposit Required: $250

Includes: 2 day hunt, 2 night's lodging, meals, licenses and whole gator. Custom butchering available for $100 per gator.

Dang, already booked a black bear hunt. Been thinking about a gator. Hopefully later.

This is one of those hunts that is very different than most - the animal itself, the methods, the airboat, the habitat, etc. Gators also make great additions to trophy rooms and are excellent table fare.

It would be a great short get-a-way plus the outfitter and price are excellent. Non-hunting guests are welcome and cost is only $100 per day for meals and lodging.
