This is a hunt for a Self-Use Elephant in an excellent location at a reduced price.
We have two remaining on quota for 2017

6 Day Self use Elephant Package
1 x Arrival day
6 x Hunting days
1 x Departure day
1 x Self-use Elephant (Non Trophy/Broken Tusk Bull)
1 x Flight ticket from Windhoek to Katima Mulilo
1 x Flight ticket from Katima Mulilo to Windhoek
$16500.00 all Inc.

The hunt will be conducted in the Caprivi Strip of Namibia.

Package Includes
• The services of a hunting guide, trackers and skinners
• Hunting vehicle
• 7 Nights Accommodation
• All meals and local beverages, wines, spirits and beers
• Transport between Airports
• Flight tickets to and from hunting area within Namibia
• Daily laundry
• 15% Government Taxes (VAT)

Package Excludes
• Transport costs to Namibia
• International phone calls
• Insurance of any kind
• Permits required by any country other than Namibia
• Trophy fees for game taken or wounded

Various names and definitions of Non-Exportable hunts in Southern Africa
South Africa
The common name or definition of a non-exportable quota is called DCA (DAMAGE CAUSING ANIMAL)

Zimbabwe
The common name or definition of a non-exportable quota is called PAC (PROBLEM ANIMAL CONTROL)
another term used is
Non-Trophy or Non-Export (Non trophy hunts are usually discounted hunts offered from the CITES quota to hunters from countries where the they live do not allow the importation of the species.

Mozambique
The common name or definition of a non-exportable quota is called PAC (PROBLEM ANIMAL CONTROL)

Namibia
The common name or definition of a non-exportable quota is called SELF-USE

I believe they also call it "own use" in Namibia, where the hunter shoots an Elephant under a government permit with an outfitter, with the meat, tusks and hide becoming property of the local tribe. It's the government's way to provide the indigenous folks with meat during their winter.

PH = Andre van Aswegen
Dates open = 01 May to 30 June as well as 25 October to 21 November but this is not the best time to hunt in the Caprivi.

Biebs, you are correct, the term is OWN use not self use...
But the community only gets the meat, the tusks (if any) belongs to the government.
