Ladies and Gents, I have on offer, several great priced package hunts for plains game in the Eastern Cape of South Africa. I have personally hunted this privately owned ranch several times and can attest to the outstanding trophy quality of its well managed game herds. One of my clients recently put 15 of 16 trophies into the SCI record book and currently holds the #12 Blue Wildebeest in the world (SCI current book)and one of my Blue's was an extremely old lone bull that has a 29.5" spread. Previously, this ranch was unhunted until two years ago, thus the quality of the game is excellent. Just last week, two of my clients trophies arrived (raw salted) which included a 5.5" Steenbok, so there are good quality pygmy antelope on this 25,000 acre ranch as well as Cape Kudu over 50 inches. Here are some details:
#1:
5 days 6 nights $2,270 2x1 (No 1x1)
1 x Impala
1 x Warthog
1 x Springbuck, Common
1 x Blesbuck, Common
1 x Duiker or Steenbuck
Note: 2 on 1 hunts are only offered on the five day packages

#2:
7 days 8 nights, 1x1 $3,610
1 x Kudu
1 x Impala
1 x Springbuck, common
1 x Warthog
1 x Blesbuck, common

#3:
10 days 11 nights, 1x1 $5,235
1 x Kudu
1 x Impala
1 x Springbuck, common
1 x Black Wildebeest
1 x Warthog over 8”
1 x Warthog under 8”
1 x Duiker or Steenbuck
1 x Blesbuck, common

Included:
Full time service of licensed Professional Hunter, Tracker and Skinner
Accommodation, all meals and beverages
Skinning and field preparation of trophies
All transport during safari pickup and drop off from airport (East London)
4 x 4 vehicle
Daily laundry services
Hunting licences
Maximum 4 persons per Professional Hunter (2 hunters and 2 observers)
Hunting vehicles and support team
Transportation of trophies to taxidermist

Not included:

Taxidermy work and shipping of trophies to final destination
Dipping, packing and shipment of trophies if you prefer to do taxidermy work in your own country
Gratuities
Trophy fees for additional animals (bagged or wounded)
Touring costs outside hunting areas if desired
Vehicle hire for sightseeing
Hotel accommodation
Medical costs and insurances
Hire of rifle and ammunition (rifles can be hired at $30 per day including bullets)
Personal expenses

TERMS AND CONDITIONS

BOOKING: 50% (fifty percent) of safari cost deposit to confirm the safari. Balance on completion of safari.
CANCELLATION POLICY: Deposit will be refunded if cancellation is done within 30 (thirty) days prior to commencement of safari. Failure to confirm the safari within the 30 days will result in a 25% (twenty-five percent) deduction fee from the deposit for admin fees incurred. Package animals not shot will not be swapped or discounted for from original package.

This is not a cull hunt. You are hunting for mature animals. If you take the next world record "what ever" there will be no additional trophy fee. This is an excellent area to take the wife or children. Lots of game to hunt, photograph and observe. Ranch consists of high plains and deep ravines (kloof's). I recommend a flat shooting rifle of mid caliber. Some shots can be 200-300 yards and beyond. Any questions or pics, just ask.
Good hunting,
David

Those sound like solid deals to this African noob. I seem to recall one outfitter here last year saying the proces on hunts would NEVER fall... At least he's consistent! If I didn't have other current monetary obligations, I'd want to jump on your 10 day offering.

These are deals and this is the way to advertise hunts. But when you say Pygmy Antelope you mean the small species as Pygmy antelope only occur in the rain forests of Africa, unless they too have been relocated to South Africa.

Those pygmy antelope are actually great eating with a few veggies, herbs, garlic and a sliced mamba or puff adder and then top it all off off with a crisp puff pastry lid.

Can't beat a snake and pygmy pie! thumb

I guess because many friends and families enjoy 2x1 hunting. Some would give up their first born for any discount.

LDK,

it seems a 2X1 would be the way to go if you have a child or good friend.

Schopenauer once said "...happiness is born a twin...".

I know it would greatly have enhanced my buff hunt to have had one of the boys along. Besides, that gives you a partner to run the video camera and vise versa.

Could a Zebra be substituted for one of the other animals?

T, yes, bow can be used. However, we are more "spot and stalk" but if needed, we could construct a temporary blind. I do offer areas where it is bowhunting only. No firearms allowed.
Cheers,
David

No, the bow area is a different ranch/operation. If you want a quote on your own custom bowhunting package, just PM me and I'll put it together for you. Or, I'll be glad to send you some current packages we offer on the "bowhunting only" ranch. One of our own AR members has bowhunted there and is very familiar with this ranch.
Cheers,
David

I am now booking 2010 at these prices. Prices subject to change without further notice. This area consists of 25,000 acres. Our nearby property where we offer Buffalo is 66,000 acres, under high fence as required by law (dangerous game). We expect to take several Black and Blue Wildebeest next year that will again break the top 20, if not the top 10 of the record books. One of my clients confirmed 15 of 16 trophies went SCI. Of those, more than half met RW minimums. Book now if you need specific dates.
Good hunting,
David
