That's a good deal.. Tuskless for under $10k all in. Or a double tuskless for under $17k for 2 elephant. I think these will move quickly. Chewore south/north areas and the Zambezi valley in general have excellent populations of tuskless elephant. Some good plainsgame to be had aswell. Being able to add a buffalo bull for trophy fee only is a heck of a deal too.

You will have a blast if you take up any of these hunts.

"Services of government licensed professional hunter"

Welcome to AR. I for one would feel better if I at least knew who might be on the list of "licensed professional hunter".

Cheers
Jim

These are the guys that bought out chifuti safaris operation in chewore south as a going concern, camps, vehicles, equipment etc lock, stock n barrel. They are the outfitter. We know chifuti taken a few hunts into this area earlier in the season, they took 3 nice tom leopards with their clients. Not sure which p/h's they will use. Lots of good guys available, most operators haven't filled quotas this year..

I believe the link below is their website. I have hunted their area with CM Safaris and have been to their main camp. One of their PH's assisted with the recovery of my tuskless. I haven't actually hunted with them, but they seemed like a good bunch. That is a hell of a deal for tuskless!

we are very fortunate to have several very well experienced professional hunters we can call on to conduct hunts for us in chewore , freelance hunters we use - Len Taylor, Rex Hoets, Barry Van Heerden , Collen van der linden, Butch Coaton . All of whom have 20+ years each experience as professional hunters, and all of which have hunted chewore south / North and most other Zambezi valley areas extensively.

'Gunscore' the link you provided is correct. We have recently had a change in senior management, We are no longer trading as Hunters Africa and Mr. Read is no longer working for Safari Hunters Zimbabwe.

All hunts are outfitted by ourselves. Our two hunting camps, Chenje - the main camp, and Kachowe our camp on our western boundary, are run to the highest standard, With 2045sq/km of Zambezi valley big game hunting area, you are assured of a memorable safari. we endeavor to provide our clients with a true African hunting experience.

Excellent prices.Other outfitters will show only pics of their best buff trophies and charge an extremely high price and in the end the hunter will end up shooting a bull no different than one they will get here.Or they will try and sell a crocodile/tigerfish with the buff and charge for a full 14 day 1500 dollar/day hunt.

we have financial obligations to the game dept for 'fixed quota tags'. So we have discounted the daily rates, so as to be able to utilize this quota. we pay for these tags regardless so we are hoping to cover our basic operating costs, and at the same time use up some of our quota already paid for, if you looking for some great big game hunting in a truly wild concession area, this is a good opportunity to get the most bang for your buck.

So who exactly are the outfitters?? Or did I miss that? Not the company name, but the actual people?

Barry Van Heerden is a PH for you?

Mr John Gardener and his partners own the majority shareholding in the company Safari Hunters Zimbabwe which is the registered outfitter, HOP-0298. SHZ bought the company as a going concern from Chifuti Safaris in late 2013. The professional hunters listed are just some of the people who bring clients and hunt in our area. They are not employed by SHZ, they are only contracted for hunts as and when needed. These and other professional hunters / outfitters also buy quota from SHZ in Chewore South.

Great offers for sure. Glad to see some sense in the pricing of wrapping up quotas. Last thing we need is under utilized quotas. Then the Green Brigade turns around and say there is not enough animals.

However, Sir/Madam, I suggest you post your personal details here so that the folks on here know who they are dealing with. Its one thing to know who you share the Cruiser and fire with, its another thing to know where the money is going......just saying.

SHZ Office contact details posted in the original post, their camps/ area still running, and are supported by a head office in Harare.Am sure the office ladies at head office know very little about the hunting side of the business, as that was taken care of by Mr. Read and his daughter who ran the "safari side of things". We do not know the details, but hear their was an acrimonious separation a few weeks ago, and the Reads have both left the company.

We suggest if anyone is interested, e mail them and it will be responded to / forwarded on to a p/h who will answer any of your queries am sure, the owners/ major shareholders of SHZ have multiple businesses in The region , as well as a new luxury photographic lodge nearing completion in what originally was Matetsi unit 7 ,which officially opens it doors 1st August this year.

I don't know Mr Gardner but his partners may be of concern as Americans have to be very careful of who they contract with for hunts in Zimbabwe.

As far as we know his son is the other major partner in the business... there are no "politicians or SDN's " as partners. There have been quite a few American clients hunting through them since they took over in 2014.

I hunted this same area last year.
No doubt you will have plenty of chances at a tuskless.
I shot a tuskless bull after passing on a few cows

Great price also.
