Best Place to stay in Harare?
Planning to travel from the USA to Harare then connect to Bulawayo. What's the best place to stay overnight while waiting for the HRE to Bulawayo connection? My flight arrives in HRE in the early afternoon but the daily fastjet flight to Bulawayo leaves before I arrive which means I have to spend the night in Harare. Thanks in advance.

Woodlands Guest Lodge located in Borrowdale.

The owners, David and Lynne, are awesome hosts.

10 minute walk to Sam Levy's Village, a shopping mall with restaurants, grocery stores, etc.

I posted roughly the same question before my 2018 hunt as my flights schedule didn't allow arrival and transfer to camp the same day.
On the advice of several respondents here I ended up booking at Sunbird Guest House in Harare. For me it was perfect. Simple, elegant, quiet, spic and span and very reasonably priced.
The proprietor is ( was ?) Sally Brown.

Also, lots of good things said about Amanzi but I have never stayed there.

But the best food was at Bob swifts. Those pork chops will remain in my memory for ever! Bob's was my first stay and a classic-old homestyle Zimbabwe is how I describe it but what do I know.
