I have enclosed one of the my last studies in oil, and due to my PH commitments I have had little chance to paint over the last five years.

Andrew, I love this work and when I shared a camp with you at Prohunt had no idea you had artistic talent. How about a crocodile at some point?

Anyway, as you may or may not know, I created and update Richard's web page. With your permission I'd like to grab this image off this page and use it somewhere on the ProHunt site. PM me and let me know.

Good to hear from you mate.

Do you want a painting of a croc or to hunt one?

Andrew,

That's a magnificent painting. You really need to try to get back to painting during your off season, because you are a great artist. If you need some motivation, let me just say.......there's money to be made with talent like that!

Thanks chaps. I might post another of this Lion as the colors are not what they should be. I paint very fast and this is quite a large painting. Note if you took away the face there is very little detail.

Note I have a BA Hons in Art so it is not all natural talent. I was taught by a master painter.

This is a powerful painting. I especially appreciate the lion's eyes. Spooky, just like a live lion!

I quit painting some years ago. When I get my shit together I will pick it up again. My last series was landscapes in the Kafue and included burnt dambos and distant cobalt blue hills. But you would know about that.

So which art gallery in Lusaka should we lurk around to find and collect your work?

On the plains of hesitation lie the bleached bones of ten thousand, who on the dawn of victory lay down their weary heads resting, and there resting, died.

If you can talk with crowds and keep your virtue,
Or walk with Kings - nor lose the common touch...
Yours is the Earth and everything that's in it,
And - which is more - you'll be a Man, my son!

It is all in the hands of private collectors.

I was at a friends house the other day and took a really bad photo for you of a Kudu oil sketch that I did for her some years back. The painting is behind glass but you can get the gist of the composition.

Very nice... so if we book a hunt with you we can commission a painting as well? That pretty well defines "full service"!

Very nice, Andrew. I may have to commission something whenever you come out of retirement. And I'd enjoying seeing those landscape paintings when I'm over there.

You will recognize the woman in the reflection of the photograph?

Only a man that has looked into a Lion's eyes could paint that. gave me a chill
