What are the best options for bottom metal these days? I’m restocking a 280 Rem and will be installing a one piece bottom metal with the interior floor plate release. I have a couple of Williams units on other guns, but they are impossible to find these days.

Any big differences in the Blackburn unit made by Swift or what Sunny Hill makes? Any other options?

I have a couple M70 trig guard floorplates, but you need to specify which action you're dealing with, ie: pre64 or current model?

I recently needed to get two bottom metal units. I went with Sunny Hill, The fit and finish was much superior to Swift/Blackburn

Duane is this a drop in fit for a pre 64?

Wouldn’t mind one for my recently acquired 1952 375 H&H.

Thanks, Chris

Duane,

Have you had this product in hand? What is your initial impression of the fit and finish as supplied? Assuming that it requires final fitment and finishing, how does in compare to Blackburn (swift), Sunny Hill, your former product... etc.

Does MacKay have any photos we can view?

I ordered dropped bottom metal for my M70 .375 from Sunnyhill. More than satisfactory and she loads 4 down now.
