Gun Control - A theory espoused by some monumentally stupid people; who claim to believe, against all logic and common sense, that a violent predator who ignores the laws prohibiting them from robbing, raping, kidnapping, torturing and killing their fellow human beings will obey a law telling them that they cannot own a gun.

I have read about a few of these and seen pictures of them. I think they are very cool. Can't wait to see the end result.

Yes Bolt handle is ugly it will be replaced by one of Duane Wiebe's.
Yes rear bridge is being reshaped and will be square bridged.
Lot's of work ahead going to make new custom bottom metal as well. The one that is there is just to make sure everything works.

Thanks for looking

Banana ? Spherical distortion is seen first at the edges of the field making things appear curved. Wide angle lenses often have the problem.

Nice start. Have you foreseen any issues with the bolt internals? I remember a similar project done on a Mauser a few years back and he ended up getting the bolt too short (goal was to shoot .45acp) and it wouldn't cock or something. Definitely didn't work correctly and I think he abandoned it.

I've got an O3-A3 action that might be a good candidate for this treatment when I clear the first two pages of my To-Do list.

I have pics of a square bridge ed Lapour's did for a friend of mine 35w around here somewhere. I'll try to find then for you. He removed the 3rd lug like yours is, made a nice trim bridge.

There was a young man in the SLC area named Steve Fotou I met in the late 1980's. He was the best gunsmith/machinist I have ever met.

He wanted a benchrest rifle, but was on a budget. He shortened a 98 Mauser about like this, to just fit the6 PPC cartridge. Made a solid bottom single shot out of it, fit a third lever to the trigger, and had it down to the sub-2oz pull. He was competitive.

No a gentry. Now I need to fit the thing up if I can figure out Dennis's directions and find or make the missing pieces.

Yep I had to take pics while I had it in the shop. He should know better than to have me work on his stuff. I keep photos.
