The recent series on Vietnam has a lot of us thinking about that time. One of my brothers who is also a Vietnam veteran sent this clip to me this morning. It hit pretty close to home in that I was part of the Americal unit and 71 was the year I was in country. Also, being one who has called medievacs in and also picked up by one, it was pretty emotional for me. Hope the fellows who hauled me back are doing well.

Those corpsmen did their job;mostly navy as I recall. I think that they got more fucked up in the head than the wounded.I did have 2 buddies that were hit by small arms + did over a year in Walter Reed. They are both successful business men + I used to see them at AA every week. The one corpsman that I kinda knew, went through 5 wives;kept waking up in the middle of the night choking them; I know,I married one of them.

Never mistake motion for action.
