Tom,

Go one step further and go to Newfoundland. It's much like a separate country unto itself. They have their own culture and manor of speech. The scenery is drop dead gorgeous and the fishing incredible. I have no specific fishing contacts there but I'm sure a Google search will come up with several operations.

Good luck!

Mark

Been there Mark and shot a moose. Wife has been begging to go to Nova Scotia. Thanks for the input. Would like to go back and get a woodland caribou before you cant hunt them anymore.

Tom,

Wish I could help with Novi but I know zip about it. If you get the bug for a Woodland caribou I have an excellent operator in Newfoundland that shoots some monster bulls.

Mark....I considered a newfy moose hunt this year but got scared off after hearing about locals overrunning all the outfitter's areas. Also, the guide recommended to us had a "new area" that was 4k more.....that really turned me away since I thought his "regular" areas must suck now. I'd be interested in who you'd recommend. Thanks.

Norton,

I need your e-mail addy.

SNAP,

I think you're take offense where none was intended. If a hunter goes to a foreign country and pays for a fly out trophy hunt to a remote spot he should feel confident that the outfitter is selling him a hunt where the competition is minimal.
