A bunch, .41 mag., .44 mag., .45 Colt. It works well but best accuracy seems to be very specific to each gun. Start with min. load and work up in steps, a chronograph helps here. I usually find one load where shot to shot variation suddenly drops and group size will shrink appreciably. In my guns this usually happens at or slightly above listed max. loads. If you change primers you will have to back off a bit and work back up. I like it in the big cases because it fills them. The density of this stuff must be about like Cherios!

My experience in the .45LC and .44Spc is almost identical to cgbach's comments.

Has anyone tried it in larger cases or have a ballistic program that includes it? As in a 500 Linebaugh with 400 gr bullets? I would be very appreciative if any data is available.

Tiggertate,

The Hodgdon 2008 manual lists the following for the .500 Linebaugh with TrailBoss:

Starline case 8" barrel trim 1.400" CCI 350 primer
410 grain LFP dia: .511 Col:1.800"
8.5 grains 752 FPS 15,400 PSI
10.0 grains 815 FPS 17,400 PSI

I'm waiting for John Linebaugh to complete my Bisley .500 Linebaugh. Should be done soon. He recommends HS-6 for medium loads.
I've loaded Trailboss in my .45 colt and it's fun for plinking...
