Will these cycle thru a 1911 without rupturing the plastic capsule?

Thanks for the replies. I'll give them a try. The .22 shotshells are a bit lacking on the bigger rattlesnakes. Maybe I should just get closer...no.

Good to know. I carry a cropped down S+W 1917 in 45 ACP when mowing the pastures.loaded w/ #9 shot.On a 1917 I don't have to worry about a 1911's possbible effective function.So far from the home team; Home 10-Rattlers- O.

Never mistake motion for action.

We don't have rattlesnakes here, but I will use revolver instead of semiauto.

I use Remington snake loads in 45 acp. It is a longer acp case that is rolled over and crimped to approximate the same profile as an FMJ round. Feeds slicker than snail snot on a glass doorknob.

You can borrow my RCBS dies that make shot shell cases out of .308 or other brass. They work well and cycle through any of my 45's.

Thank you for the offer...very generous. I bought some made by CCI. At 18 bucks a box, I understand why you roll your own. I usually only shoot two or three rattlers a year so these should last. time.

I have used the CCI Speer shotshells in 9mm and 45ACP quite a bit.
Also I have used them in 22lr, 22Mag,38special, 44Special, 44 Magnum, and 45 Colt.
The 9mm shot shells work in a Glock 17. The 45 ACP shotshells work 100% in my Colt Light weight Commander, and pretty good in my other 1911s.
The CCI, Speer handgun shotshells have killed a lot of snakes and a lot of edible small game for me.
ANYTIME I am in the woods I always have a Bunch of the CCI shotshells.
