i have a new model vaquero and i want to develop some warmish loads,especially with heavier bullets. i see several loads of interest for the old model vaquero,but the new model is a lighter built gun. anybody got suggested heavy bullet load for my purpose.

For best longevity, do not load beyond Colt SAA data. You can go a bit hotter, but Ruger BH loads will batter your Vaq. How heavy a bullet do you want to push? I've had good luck w/ 8gr of Unique & a 300grLFP @ 900fps. I wouldn't go hotter than that in your Vaq.
