Well it's been 3.5 yrs in the making, and it's on home soil and will be in my hands on Friday. dancing

Looking forward to fondling for a day and getting familiar with the intricacies of the droplock mechanism.

I'll load some new brass over the weekend and prepare for its first day on the range.
To say I'm excited is an understatement!!

Unfortunately, nothing going to be shot with it till next year, she missed my late season tuskless hunt in Chewore in November 16 and also my Namibian bull ele hunt a few weeks ago
Mad
I need to figure out how to get some photos of the rifle up here on AR as my photobucket account is done.

Cheers guys

Nick

Well guys, it's been delivered , unwrapped and thoroughly fondled and drooled on!!!,

It's all that I expected and then some!!

The feel and balance, the colour hardening , barrel blacking, the gold inlays, the stock and chequering

All incredible.

The embossed leather case with canvas outer, as well as the leather and canvas gun slip are all superb!!

I wish I could load up some photos killpc

Will try and figure out Imgur over the weekend after I have a shot!!

Cheers

Jungle boy,
I only just got back from a bull ele hunt in Namibia a few weeks ago!!
My wife will divorce me, as that was my 3rd ele hunt in 10 months!!!!
No more big game stuff for me this year unfortunately.

I am booked for a double Bull ele hunt in Namibia next MAy, so it will be well blooded then!

I have taken photos of the rifle and have had 2 kind offers to post them from other members.
Should get them up early next week for all to view

Cheers

This thread reminds me of the gift my high school students gave me when I retired--a copy of Playboy.

Problem was it was Playboy for the blind. 200 pages of braile--no photos--could not see anything!!

Reminds me of a girl who had a seashell tattooed on her inner thigh.
If you held it up to your ear, you could smell the ocean!

Still haven't shot it, and my week looks like it won't happen for a few more days.

Dutch the cast off is 1/8 inch or a tad more iirc.
The photo is a little deceptive.
