I've used Northfork 500 gr FPS for all of mine (4).

Only problem is finding them right now.

I have not taken an elephant but if I were to, I would either use Federal Trophy bonded in factory ammo, 500 gr solid, or North Fork 500 gr solids in Handloads in my 470 Ne double.

Either will get the job done with proper placement!
