This is a photo of me on my favorite steelhead river in Washington State. I use a nine foot 8wt St. Croix rod, a Rio line and usually go with a pretty heavy leader. Tie my own steelhead flies too. Regards, Guy

I had many feeble attempts at steelheads,never saw one.
How many hours on the river would you say before you tag a decent one?Give me a river with steelheads and some land behind it with some decent deer and upland birds and you could possibly induce me to retire before I die on the job
