boilerroomMy ol' man's steelhead
We were on a goat hunt this year and this is what we did when weather gave us down time. This was
NOT the biggest fish of the trip but just one of the better photos.

I perfer to fly fish for them but it gets harder to catch them as the season gets late. We were chucking spoons for this guys and were catching one after another. One thing I like about the spoon take, it's violent. Some times they almost rip the rod right out of your hand.
That fish weighs about 22lbs.

RMillerNice fish,
Thanks for sharing.
What brand spoon ? Or is it a secret lure?

RMillerThanks boilerroom,
I have always used vibrax spinners whenever I use lures for salmon (except King salmon). Havent used spoons much at all.

I would trade a life time supply of Stilly Spoons for one steelhead trip with the XGirls!
Cool site!
I miss spelled the company name.
