Now that would have been a fight. Where did you catch it?

ALLEN W. JOHNSON - DRSS

Into my heart on air that kills
From yon far country blows:
What are those blue remembered hills,
What spires, what farms are those?
That is the land of lost content,
I see it shining plain,
The happy highways where I went
And cannot come again.

Palmer,

They were taken about 40 NM due E of Chatham, MA. I'm considered lucky by my duck buddies due to my respectable collection of bands. Guess what. The tuna had a tag, marked 'REWARD', a # and a code. Location? Spain. Smiler

KG, Man, that is a Big Yellowfin. Once we had a triple hookup in Jamaica on similiar sized fish. We were using rented Jamaican gear that was crap--still got lucky and managed to boat all three!
Hope your reward is as enjoyable as catching that fish!

Actually my friend, that is not a decent yellowfin, but rather, a small bluefin. Smiler

They get just a wee bit larger than that juvie, by around 1000 lbs. This one is 901 lbs. They get bigger. Considerably bigger. Record rod and reel is 1400 lbs and change, I believe. Smiler

All tunoids are a boatload of fun to chase though, and sounds like you've had some fun with them mon. Wink With some, like the giant BF, it's about enough fun any crew can handle!
