My buddy Chris and I just had a very relaxing week fishing with a few friends in Alaska.
Here are some images in no particular order. As you can see, life is grand.
6 different versions of Rock Fish

A nice Yellow Eye run

My first Halibut

Scott & his Ling Cod

Our friend art knows where to go to find the fish

Chris with the smaller of his two Halibuts. I cannot post an image of the bigger one as the guy working the gaff let it go.

Yes, our friend Scott is insane, however, he did bring back 5 fish from his Kyack excursion

This put a huge smile on my face when I saw it break water

This is what I call awesome fishing conditions

Have a great day,
Doug

Good job especially on the rockfish. Did you catch any octopus or spiny dog fish (small sharks)? How deep were you fishing and out of which port?

Just got back from this years trip. The exact opposite weather...Rain, wind, rain, tough seas, did I mention rain? Out of 7 days there we were able to fish 2 1/2 days. 5-16 foot seas everyday. Still had a great time and wouldn't trade it for anything.

Have a great day,

Art always make sure to make crapes the first morning. This year he made Cherry Crepes and we scooped the innerds from one of Martha's Berry Pies to mix in it. Art lulls us into a food coma immediately and then he can do no wrong nilly
