The lake at the end of my road iced off a month ago and the fish were hungry as usual. The rainbows in this lake average around 5lbs the last couple of years. Easy to catch at ice off but 3 weeks later, next to impossible.

Green Lake is its name because the water is so clear you can see the green marl at the bottom and it gives the appearence of green water, even at 60 feet deep. Quite beautiful to see.

This is a 6lbs rainbow. I've caught them as big as 9 lbs but there is bows caught up to 14 lbs in this lake. Black bead head Wooly Bugger, size 12, is leathal at ice off at the creek mouths.
