I got a fly tying kit from a friend recently and gave dressing some treble hooks with bucktails a try. I used squirrel tail fur and random feathers (pheasant tail, bluejay, peacock) I had waiting for this in mind.

Turns out the spoons do not work well with the bucktails, but the rest do!

I am headed up to the Boundary Waters in a month and these will get lots of use:

Gonna blow 'em outta the water with this one (any guesses what case it is??):

Correct- nice! It was the shortest .30 cal case I had within reach, now I have a 7.62x39 case on the spinner.

Are northern pike teeth tough enough to scratch that brass? I hope to find out.
