Anybody fished with John Schuchert
of www.queposfishadventure.com ? We are headed his way at the end of February to focus on sailfish.

Just back. The bite cooled off do to a current change. We were only able to boat 8 sails in three days of fishng and no roosterfish during one day inshore. Having said that, we were high boat all days and had a great time. Would go again.

better luck down south of Quepos. we( 3 of us) landed 28 sails in 5 days including 8 on a fly rod. we switched to flies after 3 days or the overall count would have been much higher and we hooked and lost about 20-25 more. where we were, the resort had a policy of not bringing any fish on board( due to high incidence of death due to internal injuries after release and verified with geo-tagging studies), so all picture were taken at boat side with the fish in the water. they also only used circle hooks when fishing with conventional tackle. no roosters, marlin, tuna or dorado but not a bad trip

google Crocodile Bay.com. website is very nice. resort is American owned and run. the week after we left, they were hosting an international light tackle tournament with 15 teams from around the world. the RSA team arrived 3 days early to "pre-fish" and i spent several nights bullshitting with them in the bar. all were avid hunters as well as light tackle sailfish enthusiasts( they mainly fished in Kenya and Moz,). 40 boat fleet, great accommodations, friendly staff( bilingual) and lots to do for non fishing guests.
