6.5x55 case dimensions
My old custom M98 in 6.5x55 needs some ammo but I don't want less than original case dimensions . The American companies went to a .308 head dimension -- not for me !!
Who makes ammo with the proper 6.6x55SE dimensions to get the accuracy the cartridge deserves ? I was not happy to see Norma USA no longer sells a 140 gr load.
Anyone use Sellier & Bellot ?

Sellier & Bellot has shot good for me on occasion. Depends on the rifle. As with any ammo, no guarantees, shoot it and see.

velocity is like a new car, always losing value.
BC is like diamonds, holding value forever.

Old age is a high price to pay for maturity!!! Some never pay and some pay and never reap the reward. Wisdom comes with age! Sometimes age comes alone..

Any CIP compliant ammo manufacturer will be making the case to CIP spec ie the original head dimension.

RWS Lapua Norma S&B Fiocchi as example.
RWS, Lapua and Fiocchi load in 140 gr ( 9.1 gram)

Prvi brass is definitely not a 308 head. I had to search to find a shell carrier that was a bit more open than a 308 to make it work.
