This started out life to me as a complete action minus the stock and barrel. Just got the stock back and all assembled. Time to load ammo. 6.5 x 53R
The blemish is a 22 caliber bullet that was found when the blank was cut, just left it in and epoxied the fractured wood. So it was already shot prior to me getting it.

Very nice!
Do you do your own checkering Rolland?
I still only try checkering things I don't care about. Singleshot shotguns etc.

No I leave that to those that have that skill I can checker metal but wood scares me.

That one sure did turn out nicely, well done!

Did you ever find loading data specifically for the rimmed case? Everything I've ever read shows it loaded to the same level as the M-S round, but I do have a couple of articles I could send you on the rimmed version, including a "Pet Loads" from Ken Waters. Let me know.

Came up very nicely Rolland, are you planing on hunting with it ?

I have a few of these, in a couple of calibers, shot a nice stag with mine last week .
