Ok Bob, so what about a follower? Would a you need to find a .222/.223 follower that is not pressed metal and grind it down to fit? Even when Rems' parts web site was up and running I never found a .221 fireball follower there, but I found the .221 mag box.

Aren’t the ejector plungers located in a different spot on the bolt face on factory 221 model 7 and 700 bolts?

FISH!!

Heed the words of Winston Smith in Orwell's 1984:

"Every record has been destroyed or falsified, every book rewritten, every picture has been repainted, every statue and street building has been renamed, every date has been altered. And the process is continuing day by day and minute by minute. History has stopped. Nothing exists except an endless present in which the Party is always right."

Yes they are! You are going to have more problems with that than a Mag box

Been there and done that. It’s expensive. Converted a REM 700 223 to 221 fb. It did not feed or eject properly. The extractor and plunger are located in a different place on the bolt, on a factory 221 fb.
