I was thinking of suggesting the same, as the RUM case head has the common magnum bolt/head diameter. Depending on the direction a wildcatter is going, the 300 RUM or 375 RuM case is pretty easy to work with, although I think the 375 RUM case might be a little shorter than the 300 RUM case.

FISH!!
Heed the words of Winston Smith in Orwell's 1984:
"Every record has been destroyed or falsified, every book rewritten, every picture has been repainted, every statue and street building has been renamed, every date has been altered. And the process is continuing day by day and minute by minute. History has stopped. Nothing exists except an endless present in which the Party is always right."

Paddles10Either will work. I'm using RUM brass now but want to have it properly headstamped. Unlike most folks I have had my ammo checked coming into Zim. That was 30 06 and 378 Wby ..... no problem.

Both Norma and Hornady make and sell .404 brass. Try Graf's or Midway.
I have Norma .404 brass. I think Bertram also makes .404 brass but I have never seen any.

Paddles10Thank you Alec. The problem is not finding 404 brass, it is finding unheadstamped cylindrical 404 or Ultra brass.
I'm trying to get around the extra cost of going to RCC for 100 custom cases.

boom stickWhat custom thing are you up to?

boom stickEngraving and not headstamping enough cases to go to Africa would be a lot cheaper and easier. You could get a really good engraver to do the job for probably about half the cost of headstamped brass. How many custom engraved cases do you need?

OngweHow many do you need?
I have some 404 Basic brass somewhere. I'll see if I can find it.
I can't even remember if it was RWS or Bertram or what. Bought it and never used it.

boom stickIf you are willing and can spare a few after his needs, I would love to acquire some as well.
Thanks

Paddles10Boom, It is a .411 Wells. Basically we had an extra piece of octagon barrel that was originally for a 405 Win., a Columbian mauser action. We put a .411 pilot on a 300 untra reamer. The result of a few weekends work looks like this:

The finished round looks like this:
