7-30 Waters has a following, but has 6.5-30 Imp been created?

Never herd of it but tikkas were made in 6,5*52r(25-35).

6.5 Int-R was a round used by silhouette shooters back in three 80's. - dan

Mr. Brown of eabco.com has done much work with the .219 Donaldson in his single shot pistol and branched out, so to speak. The single shot action is also available as a rifle and he markets a series of cartridges on the .219 and .30/30 Imp cases. One is the 6.5 Benchrest Magnum. Fast twist. Long, heavy bullets. Not unlike the 6.5 Swede. Enjoy. Happy Trails.

The 6.5 Bullberry Imp. has been around for some time. I've been shooting a 15" Bullberry TC barrel in that caliber for about 15 years in handgun silhouette competition. Cases are made from 30-30 trimmed to 1.960 and hold around 36 grains of powder.

I shoot these 30-30 based wildcats, the first four in Ruger No.1's and No.3's for varmints and the last two in TC's for handgun silhouette.

30-30 based wildcats have been made in every caliber 375 down. PO Ackley's books have them, full length and cut down.

I you want more capacity use 356 Win cases. Will give .50 bigger diameter than a 30 30 case.

There really hasn't been anything that is useful or not that hasn't been done on the 30-30 cartridge. Over this cartridges live of a 100 years + there were plenty of 6.5mm duds. Even the Waters is nothing to write home about.

Heck killed my first couple deer with a 6.5 Jap and the Arisaka carbine my dad brought back.

A friend of mine from Susanville created one at least ten years ago. Chambered his first in a C Contender and then next in a Ruger #1. He had Dave Manson make the reamer for him.

I go back and forth on whether to go this route or stick with a std .25-35 for a 94 Winchester I want to rebarrel.
