Ok I bought a rebored Ruger number one barrel in this caliber and luckily it timed and head spaced to a #1 action I have with minimal lathe work. Now the question has anyone messed with this cartridge? I used to have a 416/280 improved which should be fairly close, but any help would be appreciated. Thanks, Lynn

I don't have personal knowledge of this cartridge, but if you look at examples using the same basic brass, it might give you a bit of an idea as to its capabilities....

405 Winchester - 65mm
303 British - 56mm
375x2 1/2 - 63mm

...also look up 416 Strauss, on a 303B case....hope this helps

Thanks for the reply, I am preparing cases and will start load development with RCBS 350gr cast gas check bullets. Then Speer 350gr before using any premium bullets
