RCBS 8mm-06 Imp. shoulder angle ?
I have an RCBS 270 Improved which has a 30 deg. shoulder and a 265 RCBS which has a 28 deg. shoulder, now can anyone tell me if the RCBS 8mm-06 Imp. has a 28 or 30 deg. shoulder angle ?

If an Ackley, it would likely be 40 degree.

Can't tell you----sorry !

But Ken Waters in his book "PET LOADS" lists the 257 RCBS IMP. shoulder angle as 28 degrees.

Mine has a 40 degree shoulder..Im sure all Ackleys do...Its a great caliber for sure. My rifle with a 160 GR. GS Customs at 3200 plus, a 200 gr. Nosler, 185 gr. Rem corelokts, and the 200 gr. balistic tips shoot like a target gun, and its reminds me of a the 338-06 Ackley or 35 whelen Imp. on elk and deer. Not a dimes worth of difference..

Ackley's shoulder angle was 40 degress, RCBS Improved was 28 degrees. Gibbs are 35 degrees if memory serves. - dan
