Assuming you are talking about the AI. Loaded to the same pressure you are looking 50-60 FPS.

As usual just my $.02

I am getting about 3200 fps, with a Sierra 120 grain spitzer, and 54 grains of IMR4831. This in the standard 6.5-06FJC, with a 24" barrel.

Nice velocity for that amount of powder.

With a 28 you should be looking at 3200-3300 at 63,000 or below. You will gain around 20fps per inch between the 24 & 28.

If my rifle holds to your calculations, I would be getting about 3300fps, with a 28".

I think you are right on.

I'm getting 3200 fps with a 130 gr TSX out of the 6.5/06 AI using a 25" barrel. That's at the very top end. Loose primer pockets any higher and at 3300fps I blew a primer.

My 6.5 Gibbs will get about 3300 with 130 TSX from a 26" barrel. Any more and primers loosen up as well. Makes for a flat shooter though. Mark
