A couple years back at the Dallas Safari Club show I spoke with a gentleman representing EAI Outfitters. He is always at the annual show. Has anyone on the forum ever booked a hunt with him for Cape Buffalo ? I think he normally hunts the Eastern Cape of Africa.

There are a number of good PHs in SA that will put you into large areas for fine Buffalo hunting. Let me know if you need recommendations. But note some of the fancy areas cost more than a free-ranging hunt in Zambia!

Craftsman,

If your guy hunts the Eastern Cape the buffalo are in a fenced area. As fairgame stated some of those hunts are more spendy than totally free range hunts in wilderness areas. Additionally the total experience will be much more rewarding if the hunt is free range.

I can provide a number of options if you're interested in several countries. I also have good option in RSA.

Craftsman the outfitter is tyityaba hunting safaris , speak with karl .
There area is the finest buff hunt you can get , don't let the the agents convince you about the free range being cheaper, the eastern cape is still the best.

Hi Craftsman if you are looking for a buffalo hunt, I hunt in Zimbabwe on Sondelani. It is a fenced area but it is a challenging buffalo hunt at competitive prices

Please see write up on Sondelani in the section Outtfitters/offered and discounted hunts

You can also contact me directly at safarimaxim@gmail.com for more information

They might be the best - inside a fence!

But, hunting buffalo inside a fence does not come even close to a free range hunt.

I am not trying to put prof hunting inside a fence.

Their choice and there is nothing wrong with it.

I have hunted South for plains game, and loved every minute of it .

But I draw the line of hunting buffalo or lion inside a fence.

My choice, no one has to follow it.

Boddington's Best Bets for Buffalo

Right on the money, IMHO.

Good article.

Hunting buffalo isn’t governed by how difficult or dangerous it is for me.

The simple fact that I am hunting inside a fence does not appeal to me.

Yes. 100%.
