Mike--

Wow, what a hunt. Congratulations. I have followed your exploits on the website and in their picture book in Pedza. Also I used your recommendation for CM Safaris as one criterion for choosing them.

Great pictures and good narrative. I wish I had more time in Mururu myself.

My only problem is with choice of a Blaser. They may work wonderfully but they look like Buck Rogers space guns.

"But by and large, the trip was long and in the end conversations with seat mates and passers-by, trailed off when I tried to explain my reason for traveling to this strange and wonderful place. Again as Thomas McIntyre put it, “These days one did not admit to feelings of bloodlust or the “thrill of chase”—far too impolite and barbaric, far too “male”—but there it was. I guessed I was going to have to live with it.”
And I have been trying ever since…

Well, done Mike.
Excellent report and photos.
Good trophies, but my favourite was the croc as I really want to hunt one at some stage.
How was Mozambique?
It appears to have good croc population as mentioned by a friend last time i was there.

Thank you for sharing.

Mike,

What a splendid Safari! Maybe one day I'll get over there too. Looking forward to shooting with you again at the fall Hoot&Shoot. Bring the Blaser please. I have never even seen one up close.

Fantastic trophies and superb story telling!

You can't stop a buff like you can an elephant. You gotta brain em or let em be. I think John Wayne said that!

That Croc video was especially good, I`m not knocking anyone who sets up a blind and bait but that looked like the way I`d want to do it.

I`ve also learned in my tenure here not to watch croc capping vids while eating.. Chances are a fellow travels to Africa to hunt he probably isn`t carrying a .22 magnum..
