We did not actually see the forest elephants. There were plenty of tracks and they showed up on the trail cams though. Frequently, we used their paths deep in the forest when we were out chasing duikers. It was a special experience to follow elephant paths through the deep forests with the Baka!

Honestly, I've looked through my photos and albums about once a week since the trip just to remind myself that it really did happen! The adventure of the forest has a lasting effect...
