Good fun shooting the wallabies in the south Island of NZ. Got one on full gallop a few years ago with my 7mm08 at about 60 meters. "When the wind stops....start rowing. When the wind starts, get the sail up quick." | |||

No season as such for recreational hunters but can be shot under pest destruction permit to farmers with a permit system in place in most states. There is a commercial roo system in place also for the commercial market for skins and human consumption. Very lean and healthy meat, pretty dark but choice cuts can be great eating.
