Shit mate, how tame are those geese. They're just standing there while you take a photo of their dead mates. sofa

A mate of mine has just told me he's shagging his girlfriend and her twin. I said "How can you tell them apart?" He said "Her brother's got a moustache!"

Where can one hunt geese like that mate?

I would love to do one such hunt in my life time.

South Island is best place for a big tally like that, but there are good numbers of Geese in some parts of North Island.

Lot of scouting goes into to a big shoot like that,I am lucky and just get to turn up and shoot.

Any chance of getting into one of these shoots even if I have to pay? Please PM me if there is a chance.

I just want to have the experience ...

I remember way back in 1981 I was on Rajmai swamp in Assam in India. The swarms of ducks and Bar headed geese were just incredible. We were using shotguns but no decoys or duck calls. The number of birds flying around was unbelievable - literally clouds of them the whole day - but the bag numbers were small - with just 3 or 4 guns.

That's a lot of drawing and plucking. Hope you like goose meat!
A friend uses goose in his "Atomic Buffalo Turds."
Cut jalapeño pepper in half and remove veins and seeds. Fill both halves with cream cheese mixed with minced onion and raw sugar. Lay small sausage-sized chunk of goose flesh in the cream cheese, put both halves together, wrap with slice of bacon secured with toothpicks and toss on the barbie until bacon is crisp.

There is hope, even when your brain tells you there isn’t.

TOP_PREDATOR,

Excuse my ignorance but I assume the geese are a problem therefore you can shoot unlimited. Correct?
