New 600yard group record

For the ones that want to know.
The bullet was the Hammer. A 13 ogive VLD with SIERRA JACKETS. Its a new die and I’ve only had the die for a couple of months.

BTW thanks for the kind words!

Sorry for the slow reply. Saturday we shot a double match (16 Targets) and finished pretty late. As soon as we finished I parked the truck at the hotel and WALKED to OCharlies to celebrate with some good friends! So out late and up early this morning! Coffee with Moses and Drove for 6hours in a thunderstorm to get home.

Boyd Allen is going to do a write up, but here are the details down and dirty.

I was shooting a Bat action, stock is a Derreld Jones, gun built by Mike Moses, (action popped out and stock send to Alex Wheeler to install his keel) action reglued by Billy Stevens. Lederer Barrel 8 twist HV,chambered by Dean Stroud with his version of BR Improved, Ezell Tuner, jewell trigger, March 40X power scope, Farley rest, H4895 powder, Wolf primers!

Thanks to everyone and all the kind words and congratulations!!!!

I don’t believe that is a 600 yard group. I could shoot that at maybe 25 yards with my cz452 if I was lucky.

Amazing shooting.

The 6 BRA is all the rage in LR BR. It might supplant the Dasher. Alex Wheeler brought this round back to everyone's attention. His rationale was since Dasher's seem to shoot the 105s-108s at just under 3000 even though the can be loaded hotter, why not try a little less case capacity and get better barrel life and not lose the tune during a match when the throat erodes?

The BRA is simply a 6 BR Norma with the shoulder blown out to 40 degrees. The dasher has the shoulder pushed forward .080".

That is an amazing group. Back in my day no such group was even considered possible.

Congratulations Bart. That is quite an achievement.

I figured it out! You are supposed to shoot between heartbeats. You must be a zombie without a heartbeat to shoot that. Watch out! Maybe start a new class of shooting for zombies.

PS
I am in awe of that group.
I wish I could shoot like that
Congrats!
Color me jealous.

Had a buddy that when deer hunting would watch through the scope to see when he exhaled before taking his shot, under the premise, with no oxygen in the lungs,he won't go so far.Perhaps,I do know that a deer will run one helluva lot further than I would after being shot, period.

Never mistake motion for action.

Your buddy's timing on the deer breathing is very smart.
