BaxterBGodspeed Chuck Yeager
Just heard he died today. He’d been there and done a lot.
Had the chance to chat with him at Reno one year as we stayed at the same hotel. A true legend.

470EDDYGeneral Yeager was a true legend.... and a daunting aviator.... true gentleman!!
He was a member of the very low profile SCI "QUARTER CENTURY CLUB".... those who were members for more than 25 consecutive years... no not Life Members. Members were often invited to the President's cocktail reception at Conventions every year. He was just one of the guys....
He also used to come visit buddies at the RV resort my wife's parents lived in. He would be chatting around at the community center where guys would gather for coffee and donuts regularly... just friendly one of the guys!!
I recall he last flew the early F-16 as a test pilot in his 80s??
One of the oldest still flying...
What a guy!! GODSPEED CHUCK.... REST IN PEACE!!
I'll bet he is on the way to The Happy Hunting Ground at More Than Mach 2!!
Visit his website, there are lots of great momentos there to purchase!!
