Seriously considering a Y/O Ranch Blackbuck shoot.
Good place? I understand coat markings are more vibrant during cold months... So thinking Jan-Feb?? Awesome mounts... I gotta have one...

Maybe mulie_mike? He probably hasn't seen this in the European hunting forum.

Blackbuck in Argentina are the largest if you want a huge one.

You can probably shoot 3 for what one good one will cost in Texas.

In Europe blackbucks are kept only in few zoos (if any).
Better you look somewhere else. Probably Argentina is the best place.

If your looking at Texas you might look at the Texas hunting forum in the exotics section.

Some info there for you.

Beware, the February 2021 freeze in TX killed a F ton of them. Axis too. They are both in more limited supply now than ever.

Also, don’t let someone tell you they have “low fence” free range Blackbuck. Any low sheep fence will keep them in. They are able to jump the fence, but most of them don’t know it.

Blackbuck apparently reproduce rapidly.

A friend invited me to help him and his son shoot a few several weeks ago on an overstocked ranch in central Texas.
My son and I went along for the meat and shot three. THE CULLING PRICE WAS SHOOT ONE FOR $500 AND A SECOND ONE AT NO CHARGE!
they are tasty and their coloration makes fr an attractive trophy. I have plenty of trophies and just left the horns at the ranch.
No big deal really - down and back the same day.
